Size
Room renovations can be as small as replacing windows or trim to completely gutting out a portion of your house and starting over. What ever the size of your renovation, we can handle it.
Ideas
If you need ideas, we can help with that too. We can pull design, placement and material ideas from our past jobs and bring them together for a fresh new unique look for you.
General
Additions come in many shapes and sizes. The most important thing about additions besides making sure they are structurally sound is making sure it flows with the rest of the house. You want it to look like an original part of your home from the outside as much as possible. Shades of vinyl and brick are important although not as important as making sure the roof ties in correctly so that the added on structure doesn't look slapped on.
Cost
The cost of an addition varies greatly from home to home. The factors that cause the cost differences are the existing structures condition, the personal preference of materials and fixtures along with the design itself. Some designs can be more labor intensive which would affect the overall cost.
How it works
We get started by coming out and looking at the job site, getting measurements and getting your ideas and preferences. We calculate the dimensions, make a sketch and then go back to our office to get a no-obligation estimate ready for you to review. If you decide to hire us, we then smash out the exact details in a written agreement. From there, everyone agrees on a start date, we pull the permits and get started!
Unique
No other home improvement or construction company can build like we can. Our intensive framing experience makes us more than qualified to build the deck you have always dreamed of having. We also don't sub them out like other construction companies do.
Materials & Cost
There are a few different types of materials you can choose from for the components of your deck. Not every contractor is qualified to work with all of them. Some materials such as composite require a different type of application when constructing it. Composite is also a more expensive material. So if you have decided to go with this option, you definitely want a builder who knows the application. We work with composite and constructed the composite deck and cover featured on this page. We also work with all the other materials. You just have to decide which one you want.
How it works
We come to the location take measurements and get your ideas. We'll answer all your questions and if your not sure about design ideas, we'll give you some of ours. After we get the information we need, we head back to our office and work on a no-obligation estimate for you.
Cost
There are many different types of buildings built for various uses. If you need a detached garage, shed, shop, suit, storage etc. we can build it. Your cost will not be determined by what you will be using the building for, but it will be determined by the type of materials you choose to use and the labor intensity of the design.

Why it's important
Outside of having a proper foundation, having a correctly framed structure is the next most important aspect to your home or addition. Several times a year we get called to come fix improperly framed structures that were attempted and abandoned by incompetent framers. These type of mistakes cost building owners thousands of dollars which could have been avoided. Remember the cheapest bid does not always mean it will cost you less.
Our Credentials
Framing is our specialty and is part of what makes us great contractors. The list of structures we have hands-on framed is endless. We have completed homes and other projects all throughout Clarksville and Nashville. Some of the sub-divisions we have serviced are Stone Manner, Farmington, Summerset, Rossview Place, Savannah Lake and many, many more.
How it works
Since things like roof pitch and property layout can vary greatly from home to home, there is no base price. We meet with you and get some basic information and get your framing plans or you can email them to us. We look over them and base our price on the detail of your home and the terrain on which it will be built. We put together a no-obligation estimate for you and that's it! From there you only have to decide if you want to hire us or not.
We keep our focus on detail when building a house. House plans are necessary, but they are not exact to what may suit your needs best. That’s why it is important to have a skilled builder. A skilled builder will recognize when things may need to be changed to better fit your personal needs. For instance, the terrain on which you want your home built can impact changes or maybe a door should swing right instead of left because of the placement of a sink or closet.
At Higley Construction, we don’t leave it all up to our subs to decide. We are involved every step of the way and know and care about what changes need to be made. Because we are framers as well as contractors, you can have peace of mind in knowing that your home will be structurally sound. For us it’s not about getting the job done just to say, “there it’s finished.” It’s about leaving you with the best quality product we can. We don’t want our name on something good enough, we want it on something great.
